5 Destinations To Add to Your Bucket List This Summer

Hi there! I’m Kiki from The Blonde Abroad. A number of years ago, I left my job in corporate finance to explore the world and I’m now a full-time travel blogger.

However, last summer, the closest I came to traveling abroad was making my own sushi at home... While there were times I fully embraced the slower lifestyle and domestic destinations, wanderlust has officially taken over and I’m so thrilled for summer travels!

With the world opening up again, we can finally roam and explore in a way that felt impossible not so long ago.

Ready to expand your horizons and soak in the beauty of the world again? Here are five destinations to add to your bucket list this summer. Plus learn how you can win my exclusive Pura Vida bracelet pack, The Jetsetter Pack, at the bottom of this post!

This North African treasure has been open for tourism all this time and has very few travel restrictions.

From the Nile River to the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt has an endless array of fascinating sites. Whether you go for the world-class dive sites of Sharm el-Sheik or to soak in the rich history, this is the destination of a lifetime.

Greece has recently opened and it's prime time to visit. This will forever be a top destination for me because you can have an entirely different experience each and every time you visit.

I partied in Mykonos until dawn in my 20s and have had epically romantic stays on Santorini in my 30s. From the ocean vistas to that incredible Mediterranean cuisine, this place is second to none.

One of my all-time favorite destinations, Croatia is in its prime right now. Freshly open but without the cruise ships dumping loads of tourists, this Mediterranean country is cheap and cheerful.

Croatia will likely join the Schengen region in a couple of years — and with that, prices are expected to rise. So now is the prime time to visit and find relatively inexpensive prices compared to elsewhere in Europe.

Like Greece, you can choose your own adventure here. Explore the castles and historical sites of the south. Party like there’s no tomorrow on the island of Hvar. Go truffle hunting and explore the local cuisine and vineyards of the Italian-influenced north.

As much as I love Hawaii, the Caribbean is my close-to-home tropical pick right now. With more islands to spread out over, you will find fewer crowds and more variety in things to do.

For a romantic escape, I adore the British Virgin Islands and St Lucia. Whether you are on a girlfriend getaway, family trip, or solo adventure, it’s easy to find the right spot amongst all the islands.

While people often think of Iceland as a winter destination for seeing the Northern Lights, it’s a prime summer destination. While winters are a bit rough (but worth it!) in Iceland, summers are a dream.

With a whopping 20 hours of sunlight per day, you can explore nearly all day long. This adventure lover's paradise is a dream destination to just rent a camper van and see where the road takes you. There are direct flights from the US so it’s more accessible than you might think.

And of course I never go on a trip with out The Jetsetter Pack! So for extra safe travels, we're giving one lucky winner their very own pack *plus* an exclusive Pura Vida Classic Hoodie (a $100 value) to bring with you when you travel too! 😍
